The open heart is the landing of God’s answers to prayers. But it seems like the broken hearts have been declared bankrupt much too soon and the world foreclosed on any more hope for hearts that can’t prove themselves. But how do you prove what you don’t own? When you’re just a recipient and not the creator? How do you defend your worth and bargain to extend the grace period of being down and out when, well, you’re down and out?
So much in this world makes absolutely no sense and yet we force ourselves to adapt to it because it’s better than the alternative – having to grapple with an unknown that seems to be entropic.
