To hear the silence you have to witness how the noise dies down to learn that it’s nothing to fear. We go through painful things to learn and connect to the bigger aspect of wisdom that is the pivot on which these things turn. Pain is seeing things through the ego’s perspective and that’s a very narrow and limiting perspective that only reinforces scarcity. So when God wants good for us He lets us linger in these situations so that when we get over the resistance our hearts expand and we’re able to see things through love, which is abundant and limitless. We return with no memory of the initial pain because we’re so full of the joy it birthed.
The good doesn’t always feel good initially and it’s important we learn to discern with our hearts, lest we reject the medicine we so desperately need. When we discern through our hearts we learn to want what we need. That’s true contentment.
