To be in harmony with the cosmic order set by the divine you must eschew arrogance, which promotes a fragmentation and separation from the whole for the purpose of being parallel with the divine. In other words, arrogance and self-promotion stems from a repulsion of humbling oneself and surrendering oneself to the Creator, and that’s something that sets you off on a warpath, not only with the cosmos but also with yourself because you don’t rule the self. Because you turned against your deepest truth and interest – as your soul’s yearning is identical with the divine will – you’ll find everything turning against you and life becomes an obstacle course.
