And He has united their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allaah has united them. Certainly He is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
There are 2 forces : will to love and will to power. Will to love is entirely divine as it is the source of life, growth, healing, rejuvenation, etc. It’s what creates order and keeps nature in harmony. This emanates through the heart, to the degree that it is surrendered and vulnerable.
Then there’s will to power which Allaah has given us through our free will. It’s a force that focuses on conservation, survival, protection. It doesn’t create anything new, it just makes use of what is. It’s activated to the degree of resistance in one’s heart ( which sets off the amygdala in a fight or flight mode).
Allaah is showing us that when it comes to matters of the heart, that is, matters that aren’t material or tangible, power is useless. Force is counterproductive. His might is based in love, which is why He ends the ayah with showing that power is only effective when used with wisdom. And wisdom is to know the divine order and timing of everything, which is strictly His realm.
