My steady friend

Writing has been single-handedly the biggest aid in my ptsd healing. Writing and praying are the only things I’ve been consistent with for years, and ironically it never was out of a conscious effort to be consistent.

Both modes were/are expressions of my heart : praying is my heart communicating with Allaah, and writing is my heart communicating with my mind.

It’s sacred to me. I always write in the flow, I never edit or plan. It’s meditation in written form. It’s healing in motion.
