Bridge for humanity

What you learn from a terrible experience is far more valuable than getting out of it. Because if you move on from a bad experience, one individual has gained success ; you.
But if you allow the pain to fully surge through you, and you observe it, and you let yourself feel whatever you feel without judgement or self-criticism, and you listen to what the pain has to say ; you gain the insights to help countless other individuals who will go through similar patterns of pain, how to survive the pain.

Basically taking the hit for the rest of humanity. Not to inspire others, but to come alive yourself.

“True teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross; then, having facilitated their crossing, joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create their own.”

— Nikos Kazantzakis
