Adrift at sea

Depression is like a deep and mysterious ocean

Turbulent and disturbed at times

Angry and confused

Destroying everything in it

Destroying itself

And gradually it retreats to its’ obscure resting place

Down the ocean floor where light is too scared to enter

In the midst of the smashing waves

Tsunamis and storms

You can only cling onto the only thing keeping you above water

You cling onto it tightly with the little energy you have left

Which isn’t much if I’m honest

One response to Adrift at sea

Fire away!
